Birmingham Children’s Hospital has enlisted ParAid Medical to supply bespoke medical transportation equipment which will be frequently used by its new Kids Intensive Care and Decision Support Service (KIDS) throughout hospitals in the West Midlands.
Custom-made paediatric and neonatal trolleys manufactured by ParAid Medical will be used to ensure the safe transfer of critically-ill young patients between children’s intensive care units, operating theatres and other emergency departments across the West Midlands.
Phil Wilson, Lead Nurse and Coordinator at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, said:
“Around 700 patients per year will require the use of a specialist trolley during their hospital stay. Our hospital relies on innovative, fit for purpose patient transport equipment that is easy for our staff to use. Over our eight year business relationship with ParAid Medical, we’ve continually found their products to be tailor-made for the medical needs of the children we care for and have allowed our staff to keep patients safe and uphold our high standards for care.”
Dr. Mary Montgomery, Clinical Lead for KIDS at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, said:
“ParAid Medical has been a pleasure to work with and we are always happy to support a local business. We’ve found that they are unfailingly willing to work closely with their customers to help them meet their specific product needs no matter whether their order is small or large. They’ve been extremely helpful over the years we’ve used them as a supplier and we will continue to use their products in the future.”
